A wave of fatigue hit me early one evening, so I decided to lie down for a quick nap. I woke up the next afternoon, still groggy, but now disoriented and hallucinating, too!
Thankfully, my daughter called just then. When I told her I couldn’t get up, she became alarmed. It didn’t take long for her to realize I wasn’t speaking rationally, so she called 911 and rushed over to my house.
I was taken to the hospital, where I continued to drift in and out of consciousness. Doctors ran an MRI and discovered a cancerous mass on my brain! Immediately I went into surgery to remove the mass. Afterward, we learned I’d be paralyzed on my left side because of the location of the mass. However, I went home four days after the surgery with only a slight weakness on that side.
As I was recovering, I would often fall asleep to the sound of the TV. One night I was jolted awake suddenly by the voice of Richard Roberts on The Hour of Healing. I heard him say, “Be healed of that tumor in Jesus’ name…this very day!” I sat straight up and said, “All right Lord, I believe You,” and claimed that word for myself.
I called the Abundant Life Prayer Group to agree with me in prayer, and I requested a prayer cloth. I wore that prayer cloth night and day as a point of con¬tact to release my faith. The chemotherapy was aggressive, but I held on to the healing I knew God had planned for me.
Since then I’ve been back to my doctor, and his very words were, “It’s a miracle; the cancer is completely gone!” I’ve never had any paralysis or loss of brain function. Praise God!
“That Looks Like a Brand New Ankle!”
On Thanksgiving Day—between preparations for a big family dinner and planning a move—I slipped on some water on my front porch.
The crushing fall left my hip, knee, ankle, and five toes broken. My ankle was so badly damaged that it looked like mush on the X-rays. The doctor put me in a cast and said he was sure I’d need surgery once the cast was removed. I lived every day in excruciating pain.
One day I turned on The Hour of Healing for some encouragement and heard Richard Roberts give a word of knowledge about God healing someone with hip problems. I received that word and immediately felt what seemed like a big “bounce” of electricity run through my body. Instantly, the hip pain was gone!
I set down my crutches and began to walk. I had no pain! I called the Abundant Life Prayer Group with my praise report and told them I could even wiggle my toes again.
When I returned to the doctor for new X-rays, he said, “That looks like a brand new ankle.” I’m no longer wearing a cast or using crutches, and no surgery is needed!

“Healing is what God does…and He does it well!”
A spot about as big as my thumbnail appeared on my chin that simply wouldn’t go away. My doctor told me it was skin cancer and immediately scheduled me for surgery.
I hoped I’d have just a small scar from the surgery, but it took a five-inch incision to make sure all the can¬cer was removed. Once surgery was over, I thought I’d been through the worst of it. Instead, a lump devel¬oped, and my chin became black and swollen.
Concerned, I went back to the doctor to see why my chin wasn’t healing. He said he would have to go back in to clean out the wound. I decided right then to call the Abundant Life Prayer Group to pray for a miracle.
I’m here to say I received my miracle! The lump, the blackness, and the soreness all disappeared. I re¬turned to my doctor for a follow-up appointment, and he declared it healed.
All that’s left to remind me of what God has done is a small indentation on my chin. I apologized to God for being so surprised at my healing, and I told Him, “This is what You do, Lord, and You do it well!”

I’m Cancer–Free!
My diagnosis was grim: non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer. I’d already beaten cancer once in 1998. At that time, the doctor told me that even with chemo¬therapy, I had only five years to live—at most!
However, when word came that the cancer was back, I made the decision to fight it once again. My wife called the Abundant Life Prayer Group to ask them to join us in faith. We were convinced this was just an attack of the enemy to distract us from the call God had on our lives. I began chemotherapy again, this time believing the report of the Lord that I would be healed.
After the third round of medication, I was scheduled for a PET scan to see exactly what I was up against. Much to the doctor’s surprise—and my joy—the cancer was nearly gone. Hallelujah, God had another plan!
Throughout the whole process, God kept me in per¬fect peace. All along, I knew that I was healed, and I was never sick or even lost my hair. Today I’m happy to report that the test results show I’m totally cancer-free!

God Saved My Leg!
Charcot’s joint—a destructive bone disorder—was damaging the circulation in my leg and foot. I’d been in the hospital three times, and had seen ten different surgeons. It had gotten so bad that the doctor told me I’d have to have my leg amputated!
I called the Abundant Life Prayer Group to pray for my healing. I also began listening to Richard and Lindsay’s CD, He Sent His Word and Healed Them, every night, meditating on the Scriptures they read. Through that difficult time, I felt the Holy Spirit say to me, “Joe, it’s going to be alright.”
I returned to the doctor who’d scheduled the sur¬gery, and he said, “Your circulation is the best we’ve seen in months and months. We don’t have to ampu¬tate.” Right there in the office, I shouted, “Praise the Lord!” Now I testify about what God has done for me every chance I get.
