A Supernatural Miracle by Richard Roberts

Richard Roberts No Comments »

Somebody else is receiving healing in your ears right now in Jesus’ mighty name.  Honey, I’m just expecting miracles tonight. I want to take you up to Flint, Michigan to hear a wonderful, wonderful testimony from a woman named Debbie Tate. Debbie was having a terrible liver problem. The doctor said, “Your liver looks like that of a dead person.” But she called the Abundant Life Prayer Group for prayer.

LR: Glory, hallelujah!

RR: And the power of God came into her life. And let me take you to Flint so you can hear her testimony for yourself.

LR: Yea!

DT: She said, “You know, I’ve only felt one other person’s liver this large,” and the woman died.

ANNOUNCER: Debbie Tate’s condition was getting worse. Having spent up to $2,000 in medical expenses, Debbie knew the only way she could continue living was through a supernatural miracle.

DT: I wasn’t getting any better, and my mother was sitting in the living room here with me and, you know, I had said, “I want to call them. I need prayer, you know. I’ve got to have a miracle. And I have to be healed.”

So I called the Abundant Life Prayer Group and was talking to a prayer counselor.  And I explained to her the problem with my liver being enlarged and the constipation and the pain in my stomach.  My stomach was what they call distended.  In other words, your abdomen is swollen. It would look like I was, you know, expecting a child because of the enlarged liver.

Well, the prayer counselor, she was praying with me and the words that really stick out and what she spoke over me, she said, “I speak resurrection power.” The resurrection power. And when she spoke those words, she spoke the Word of God and it literally spoke life into my body. So it was like two or three days later, I got up after sleeping, and my stomach was down.  I mean, I got up and I came out and told my mother, I said, “Look, my stomach went down. I can enjoy life now, you know. I’m not sick.”

The Glory of Christ by Richard Roberts

You know, you’re not investing into something, you’re investing into someone. And I believe you know, it’s not like, “Okay, we’re going to die and go under.”  I don’t believe that.  I believe that God is going to take care of us.  I believe that

RR: No, because we’re not going under.  We’re going over in Jesus’ name.

LR: I believe that God has sustained us.  I’m not crying and whining. I believe that my God shall supply my need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, but I thank God for the opportunity to be a part of a miracle, to sow seed into the life of some young person that’s going to do great things for God. And I believe I’ll get a harvest from it.  Hallelujah for it!

RR: You and I are adopting a student.

LR: Yes, we are adopting a student.

RR: I got a call from Pastor Rick Renner from

LR: Latvia.

RR: over in Latvia, over in the former Soviet Union, who said, “I want to be the first minister to adopt students.”  He said, “I want to adopt ten students.”  That would be a gift of, what? $7,500.  And that’s from a church in Latvia.  And we’re hearing from churches.  We’re beginning to receive letters back as a result of the letter that we wrote our Partners.  And, Lindsay, I believe that God’s going to help us to get every student sponsored.

LR: He just adopted one of my ORU students that graduated and works all the computers in my office.

RR: And hired them and moving them to Latvia.

LR: And is moving her to Latvia.

RR: But, Lindsay, that’s what ORU is all about, is to send those students to the nations of the earth, through whatever profession or ministry or business or job God calls them into.

LR: She is highly trained.  She’s highly trained in computer graphics. She’s a great girl.  She’s an ORU grad, and she said, “Lindsay, I know God is calling me to Russia.”  I said, “Are you sure?” And she said, “Yes.”  That’s the whole purpose; get them to get the Gospel into the nations of the earth.  Glory to God for it. That’s what you’re investing in.  And I praise God because I get a harvest on that.  I know I will one of these days.

The Healing Holy Spirit by Lindsay Roberts

RR: After I left you made an entire tray?

LR: Oh, after you left and so

RR: You didn’t give me any.

LR: I went out and I was curling my hair and I went around the house and I went, “What’s that smell?  Oh, it must be Labor Day and somebody’s barbecuing.  Da!  I left it on like an hour and a half.

RR: What color were the French fries?

LR: I never even caught on that it was my house.  And Catherine Olivia came screaming, “Mom, Mom, Mom, did you leave something in the oven?”

RR: Chocolate French fries!

LR: They were about this big, little charcoal, and so I had to clean that junk in the kitchen before I came down here.  And it’s all Mark McGwire’s fault because I was watching all of the interviews from his homerun.

RR: This is the first lady of Oral Roberts University.  Give her a big handclap.

LR: And I made your day count.  We have a cooking I got so tickled.  I started watching all the interviews with Mark McGwire.

RR: And you got healed.

LR: I got healed and I didn’t even get to eat my French fries, so it was a miracle.

RR: If you have a healing testimony, pick up your phone and call us and let us know what God is doing in your life.  Praise God.

Yes, Sue, do you have another testimony?

SUE: Yes.

RR: I’m trying to get over those chocolate brown French fries.

LR: You never mind.  Moving right along.

SUE: Elizabeth in Austin, Indiana has a sixteen year old son who came home from his practice and his toes were swollen so.  They took him to the doctor.  He had that blood disease in them.  They were going to amputate his feet.  And she is on the line.  You gave a word of knowledge, and he received that.  He is healed.

RR: Hello, Elizabeth.

ELIZABETH: Hello.

RR: How are you tonight?

ELIZABETH: Oh, we’re happy and rejoicing.

RR: Tell us what has happened.

LR: What was it?

RR: What happened, Elizabeth?

ELIZABETH: He come home from school and he had wore brand new tight tennis shoes.  What had happened was, he got blood poisoning in his little toe and it shot up all the way from his little toe, all the way past his ankle, going up his foreleg.

And the doctor said, “its blood poisoning.  We may have to amputate.”  So they give him some mega antibiotics and sent him home.

RR: How old is he, Elizabeth?

The Nine Week Crusade by Richard Roberts

And we answer you, and you talk to us.  We take the things you say and we put something in the letter personal to you that are not to anybody else in the world.  We do that as a seed of our faith, and we expect God then to supply things to us. He may supply it through you; He may supply it through somebody else. But we look to God.

And if you’ve ever thought of the power of a letter, think about it like this.  This Bible is partly a series of letters, like Paul’s letter to Timothy.  But, you see, you and I think it’s a letter to us, and it is.

RR: It is.

OR: It’s two thousand years old, and yet it’s very live by the Spirit.

RR: And it’s a letter.

OR: There are people who see us in different cities, and they pull out letters I wrote them to ten years ago.  And they’re ragged; they read them so many times.  We put something in our letters back to you that you can go to bed with.  You can sleep with. You can get up in the morning with.  You can face life with.  And you can become a partner or just one time, and try it.  I mean what have you got to lose?  One little stamp, one little letter. Try it.  See what God will do for your life through Richard and Oral Roberts.

ER: I like this one especially because I just read over it and you talk about unclaimed miracles in there.

OR: Unclaimed miracles and healing big time. The first time we’ve ever given this teaching in a letter.

LR: You know, I said because I had no voice yesterday and you came and prayed for me and we sat down, you began to tell me something like I said, I’ve been here almost 19 years and I didn’t know you started out of course, I knew you started out in the crusades, you told me you had a nine week crusade.

OR: In Tulsa.

LR:  in Tulsa, and that generated so much response by people writing to you that you asked secretaries if they would volunteer one hour of their time to help you type letters because you couldn’t type them fast enough and get the response out.

OR: Well, no, I couldn’t handwrite them fast enough.

LR: And you said out of that, you were new in the ministry, you were in the tent crusade, well, the evangelistic crusade, and you asked God and you said, “Lord, it takes stamps, it takes postage.  I cannot pay these people.  They’re volunteering.  Is this important?”  And the Lord showed you that without that revelation to those people, there would be something missing in perhaps the way they would receive their miracle.
