The God Of Heaven And Earth by Richard Roberts

Lindsay Roberts Comments Off

We lift our hands unto You, and we give You honor and glory.  And we call You our Lord and our Savior, for You are God.  You are the Creator.  You are the God of heaven and earth, and You delight in Your creation.  For You have made man only a little lower than the angels, and You’ve given us a mind, and You’ve given us a body, and You’ve given us a spirit.  And it is with that spirit that we worship You, in spirit and in truth.

And so tonight here on these rally grounds, we give You honor and we give You praise, for there is no God like You.  Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!  Let’s give the Lord a wave offering.  Hallelujah!

Father, we wave our hands.  We give You a wave offering, and we praise You in this place tonight.  We thank You, and we give You the honor and the glory, in Jesus’ name, amen.  Let us put our hands together and give a praise to the Lord.  Hallelujah!  Praise the Lord!

I want some of the testimonies that have come the past few nights to come forward.  I’m asking the pastors to bring some of the tremendous miracles that have happened onto the platform.  I want to begin tonight with some testimonies.

If you have received a tremendous healing in the last two nights, then I want you to begin to come to the platform.  If you were crippled and you could not walk, make your way to the platform.

If you were blind and you could not see but now you can see, come to the platform.  If you were deaf but now you can hear, I want you to come to the platform.  What a wonderful way to build people’s faith.  When you see someone who’s had a miracle, it causes your faith to rise.

Healing by Lindsay Roberts

Lindsay Roberts Comments Off

This is from Jim in Springhill, Florida.  I’ll tell you what, this will get you.  “I’ve had two back surgeries which left me in considerable pain.  I gave my life to the Lord only this last April, but I was still pretty skeptical.

“One night I heard you give a word of knowledge on your TV program about back pain, and something inside me said, ‘Maybe this will work.’  I put my hands on your hands just like you said, and I felt a warmth go up my back.  I was sitting down and when I got up, the pain was gone.  I am still amazed because I’ve been so skeptical of you.  But I feel great.

“Also, since I got saved, I’ve quit gambling and overeating and now I’m healed too.”  (Applause)

This is from up in Nova Scotia in Canada.  “Richard, last December while watching your program, my 15-year-old grandson, Ryan, called you for prayer for his grandfather who had fought prostate cancer for seven years.  The prayer partner led Ryan in the sinner’s prayer and then prayed for his grandfather’s healing.

“When Ryan got off the phone, he told his grandfather what he had done.  His grandfather went to the TV and put his hands on yours during your program.  He felt heat go through him.  He didn’t say anything, and sat down.  But a few minutes later he went back to the TV and touched the screen to see if he could have imagined the warmth that he felt.  It was cold.

“Three days later, Ryan’s grandfather went back to the doctor.  The doctor says all the cancer is gone.  Thank you, Richard.  I now have a grandson who is saved and a husband who is healed.”  (Applause)

This is happening every night.  “Richard, I’m 14 years old. I want to tell you how God healed my dog, Buzz.  He’s had to take seizure medication every day since I got him.  A few weeks ago you had a word of knowledge for seizures.  I believed if God was healing seizures for people, He would heal my dog too.  As you prayed, I laid my hands and my dog’s paws on your hands, and Buzz has not had one seizure since.”  (Applause)

This is from Jerry in Michigan.  “Richard, my three-year-old daughter developed a type of wart that spreads all over the body, from 200 to 300 warts covered the entire left side of her little body.

“I was watching you and Lindsay on the Hour of Healing, and you called out healings of warts.  I went into my daughter’s room where she was sleeping and placed my hand on hers while you prayed.  Praise God, every wart fell off.”  (Applause)

The Blessing by Lindsay Roberts

Lindsay Roberts Comments Off

So help me God, you either apologize or I’m telling every Christian I know to write the biography channel and say, “I won’t watch you until you take that thing off.”  Christians, stand up for what’s rightfully yours.  If they’re attaching one of your brothers, they’re attacking you.  APPLAUSE

I am a televangelist’s wife.  And my Bible says, “Avoid the appearance of evil.”  And Honey, without makeup, you’re looking at some evil.  LAUGHTER  And however much I choose to put on or take off, it’s not biography’s business. Christians, stand up and stop letting the world dictate to you what you think about each other.  CHEERS

It’s time to stand up, put up, or shut up. And I’m telling you what, I’m not going to be silent.  Everybody that knows me including my mother sitting on the front row, knows that I was the mealy-mouthed, meekest, weakest little whiny, gripey kid that cried at everything because if somebody hurt my feelings, I cried.

Dear God, why did I marry into this family?  LAUGHTER I married Richard Roberts.  My engagement and wedding was carried across all these newspapers.  They put-they took-first of all, they lied.  And then they took three years off of his age and added ten to mine.  LAUGHTER

So all of you know I’m old enough to be his mother.  LAUGHTER

That was my introduction into the world.  I’m seven older.  At least they can count.  And I was-I had a friend who actually bet another woman fifty bucks that Richard married my sister and not me because there’s no way I could have withstood what I was about to go into.  Because I criedat everything.  I cowered at everything.  I kowtowed to everything.  My mother used to say, “Lindsay, honey, if you’re going to be a doormat, people are going to walk on you.”  Well, I’m standing up.  I’m changing position. CHEERS  APPLAUSE

You know why God told us to be the head and not the tail?  It’s simple.  Think of the view from the other end. LAUGHTER  Galatians 3:13, 14 says, “Jesus Christ redeemed us form the curse of the law, having become a curse for us for it is written…  Now think about this.

First of all, here He is all the way back down Melchizedek.  You’re a long way away.  Here He is in Melchizedek, and He’s this godly blessing pouring out the blessing of Abraham, and they don’t get it.  They had to repeat it all the way down here with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

Then they get it, and then they forget it.  And then they get all the way over here to Malachi, and now God’s mad.  And He said, “You’re cursed with a curse, even this whole nation.”  And He doesn’t even talk to them for four hundred years.  And then He says, “Okay, I’ll try again.”  And then Jesus is born.

The most high God by Lindsay Roberts

Lindsay Roberts Comments Off

And you are of God, little children.  Turn to Genesis 14:18, and I’ll show you how to got there.  Genesis 14:18 says, “And Melchizedek, king of Salem, brought forth bread and wine, and he was the priest of the most high God.”

Now look at the word was there.  That’s in italics.  It means somebody put that in it to read it smoothly, and you know, sometimes it’s not always great.  So let’s read it without it.

“And he the priest…”  Now take out of.  “The most high God.”  You’re going to catch that in a minute, and I’m going to prove it scripturally.  “Possessor of heaven and earth” and let’s see.  “Most high God, possessor of heaven and earth and bless the most high God which had delivered me from the enemies of my hand and gave him tithes of all.”

I’m going to tell you a quick story.  It’s a story you probably already know, but I’m just going to walk you through a historical timeline.  Abram comes.  He’s from a lineage of people that do not know God, do not serve God.

They’re worshippers of pagan rituals.  They don’t believe in God.  They don’t serve Him.  They don’t love Him.  They don’t adhere to Him.  They don’t recognize Him. Here’s a man that was not raised in church, not raised on Oral Roberts, not raised with a Bible, and not raised with any godly teaching.  They were idol worshippers, and they were proud of it.  And they were also afraid to do anything differently because if they did anything different, they would be killed, and they knew it. So they were too afraid not to serve anybody not serving God.

So they made it a course of a lifestyle of serving anybody who was an idol worshipper, anything that was idol worshipping because they were afraid to switch to the most high God.  Why?  They didn’t know who He was.  They didn’t know what He could do.  They didn’t know about His protection.  They just were ignorant of the promise.

Now there’s a big difference between stupid and ignorant.  Stupid knows better and still won’t do it. Ignorant just doesn’t know.  And then they began to get a revelation of who God was, and they went from being ignorant to being stupid.

Because then when they knew who God was, they still didn’t serve Him.  And so they made a big step into really scary territory.  When you learn who God is, and you still won’t serve Him, you’re stupid!  And that’s where they were.  They were wandering and having all kinds of trouble.

Oh My Word by Lindsay Roberts

Lindsay Roberts, Oral Roberts Comments Off

Ankle-deep water, if your kids are afraid of the water, you put them in a little bit, a little dab on them, a little dab off of them, and if they get too frustrated you can take them right out of the water.  Correct?  And they’re not afraid because their head is above the water, right?

But slowly ankle-deep water is not fun anymore, and they want to go to knee deep.  But knee deep is a little harder.  It’s not quite as easy with all that resistance to kick and splash.  And you still can get back to the shore, right?  But it takes a little bit more effort.  So you’re getting a little bit more Word and you’re getting a little deeper, a little deeper.

And God says, “No, I want you to go into shoulder length.”  Now wait a minute.  It was a whole lot of fun in ankle deep.”  And you know what?  You could control ankle  deep.  If you didn’t like the way the anointing was going in your church and you still wanted to have control, you could just pull back from that anointing, and no one would ever even notice that you were just gradually taking your congregation right out of the water.  And you still maintained control.  And you know what?  You were still dignified.  You weren’t all wet.

And yet God is calling us to get out of the ankle and go into the knee-deep water.  And when you get into the knee-deep water, suddenly parts of you are in an area that’s unknown.  You don’t know what’s under there.  Sometimes it’s dark.  Sometimes it’s murky.  Sometimes it’s unknown.

Sometimes you could have the ability to be afraid. But, you know, as a pastor, you shouldn’t act afraid.  So you do it anyway, but inside you something is welling up that you can’t control.  So you try and cover it up with  something that isn’t the Word of God so that nobody notices that you’re in a little bit deeper than you want to be in.

And the only way to sustain yourself is back in the Word, life in the Word.  And so you get comfortable in the knee-deep water, and God calls you somewhere else.  He calls you to get in where the shoulder length is.  That’s still okay because your head is above water, right?  And when your  head is still above water, you’re still in control.  And when you’re still in control, that’s the problem-you are still in control.

And He’s saying, “Honey, take the plunge.”  Remember the Nestea iced tea commercial, where all of the sudden that person falls off and they take the plunge?  And then everything is submerged.  Take the plunge.  Because when you take the plunge and you submerge everything, all of the sudden there’s no turning back.  Yeah, it’s not so much fun anymore, and you’re not totally in control anymore.

The belt of truth by Lindsay Roberts

Lindsay Roberts Comments Off

But, you know, some of us need it more than others. And, you know, when you got dressed this morning and you got ready to come out of your house and you’re going as fast as you can and you brush your teeth-thank You, Jesus-and, you know, you started doing your hair-I am making improvement. Come on, no matter what anyone says, I am making some improvement.  Slight as it may be, we’re working on it.

And so, you know, you think, Okay, Lindsay’s getting better.  And I’m more appropriately dressed for the job at hand, correct?  And when you say, “Avoid the appearance of evil,? and God himself looks down from the walls of heaven-I am sweating like a dog up here-and God looks down in heaven.  You can’t help me with that one.  And He sees us, and He thinks of I Thessalonians that says, “Avoid the appearance of evil,? is He worried about my hair?  (No)  Is He worried about my makeup?  Is He worried about whether or not I am pressed and dressed?  Oh, I don’t have any hairspray.  Suck up.

Or when He said that we are to be an example of what He’s called us to be and to be appropriately dressed for the job at hand, is He asking about my red slippers, or is He talking to me about the helmet of salvation and the breastplate of righteousness and the belt of truth?

You know why I wore two belts?  In case one of them fell off.  Oh, my gosh, it’s evil under here.  But, you know, here we sit thinking that according to the world we’re getting so dressed for the occasion, and we get out-thank you two-will you hold that?-to Mack and Brenda Timberlake for sending me these shoes.  And we’re so worried about what we’ve got on and what we look like and what we’re doing. And He said to put on the helmet of salvation and the breastplate of righteousness and the belt of truth and the whole armor, and we’re to be clothed in righteousness.

And yet even as the body of Christ, sometimes we pay more attention to whether or not we’ve got green slippers or whether or not somebody else has green slippers or the green bathrobe or making sure our hair is perfectly coiffured and making sure that our nails are painted and our toes are polished.  But we wonder why in the world we go out dressed for war, get our guts beat up, and we’re still dressed and we’re still pressed and we’re still polished.  And God looks down from the halls of heaven and said, “I told you to avoid the very appearance of evil.”

And we’re not properly dressed because we didn’t spend time in the Word.  How many of you honestly spent time in the Word this morning?  I don’t care that it was a nine o?clock service and Kenneth preached till the cows came home last night, did you get up this morning and did you getappropriately dressed?

God’s given us weapons by Lindsay Roberts

Lindsay Roberts Comments Off

How many of you felt like you’ve been hammered by satan’s tools?  How many of you feel like satan is just cutting your wires off, you have nothing to connect to?  How many of you feel like he threw a wrench in all of your plans?  This one, we won’t even discuss?

Now the Bible says that we have one weapon, and there it is.  We’ve got lots of weapons.  God’s given us weapons, like the armor of God, the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness.  You know, the Bible says that the shield of faith is able to quench every fiery dart of the wicked one?  And you know what?  If I said, “Lindsay said put that down,” it didn’t do a thing.

But I’m to be like Jesus, the Bible says.  And if I say, “It is written,” right there … all of them, all of them.  Lock it up.  Now that’s not good enough because, you see, I’ve let him just stand there.  (Applause)

But the Bible also says, II Corinthians 10:4,5.  Rick, can you help me again?  Second Corinthians 10:4,5 says, “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal.”  They are not in your mind. (Yelling)  “But they are mighty to the pulling” … excuse me, right there … “down of strongholds.”  The only way you’re going to get him down is to use the Word of God.  The weapons of our warfare are not carnal.

If you’re fighting the devil with your mind, with your carnal imaginations, you’re losing.  But if you will fight the devil with the Word of God, it says, “Casting down imaginations and every high thing that has the nerve to exalt itself” … (Yelling) … down … “against the knowledge of God.”

Now listen to this.  It says, “Bringing into captivity.”  We let satan talk, we let him walk.  We take a tool away every now and then, but do we bring him into captivity?  Tie him to the chair.  “Bringing into captivity every thought that has the audacity to acknowledge itself above the Word of God.”

What is acknowledging itself in your life above the Word of God?  Is satan using the tool of fear?  Is he using the tool of finances?  Is he using the tool of depression, distraction, destruction?  Whatever it is, you know what?  Satan is not going to put it down because you say “boo.”  But when you begin to stir up the faith, and faith comes by hearing and hearing what? … the Word of God … you stir up the Word of God inside you, you stir up the Word of God around you, you tell the people who are the negative naysayers to get out.  Oh, yes, he does.

He not only goes around as a roaring lion … he talks.  If you don’t believe it, Jesus said He had to answer the fig tree. Do another one.  Let’s make sure.  Now I want you to notice something.  This is an “as a lion.”  This is a big one.  No more wimpy stuff.  Give me the good stuff.  This is an “as an lion,” like an “as a dog.”  Do you know that an as a dog cannot bite you?  An as a lion cannot harm you.  His eyes … oh, no, I can’t do that to him.  Here, by faith.

Healing is a recovery by Lindsy Roberts

Lindsay Roberts Comments Off

But in the night she got up and her body had straightened.  We have this on video.  And she came back the next night, and her shoulders were straight.  She just wept about how God had healed her.

RR: Marilyn, I get a sense in my spirit that there are people who have fingers that are twisted and arms that are twisted and legs and feet that are twisted even right now, and I believe there’s an anointing for you to pray for that person or those people right now.  Would you just take your freedom?

M: Yes, yes, yes.  Father, I just thank you right now that we are standing here in faith.  And we lock into agreement, and we don’t come out of agreement until we see manifestation. So there are manifestations going on right now for twisted limbs.  God, in particular, I feel this is twisted wrists, God, and fingers even that are twisted from arthritis.  God, toes that are curled under are straightening out.  God, ankles that are twisted to the side are straightening out.

God, we’ve seen these things over and over.  Healing is so easy for you.  It’s just the bread of the children.  So we’re just eating your bread tonight, and we thank You for unusual miracles, signs and wonders coming to pass.  And, God, for these who have not seen a manifestation yet, that doesn’t mean they haven’t received.  Healing is a process so many times.  Healing is a recovery.  So we believe they have received in Jesus” name, amen.

Now don’t look for your sickness.  Look for your healing.  So check yourself.  Look for your healing and keep looking.  If you don’t see it immediately, keep looking.  So many healings to me are processes too.  I mean, thank God for the instant manifestations, but that process is important.

RR: While you were praying, I know this may sound unusual, but I saw someone with a crooked chin.  The bone right here is crooked, and your face turns, right here in your chin.  And as Marilyn was praying, I saw the chin straighten out.  The bone just straightened out, and your chin is now square, whereas before it was off to the side.  And whoever that person is, you felt warmth and you felt something move right here, you need to go and examine yourself and then call us. I know that’s a very unusual word of knowledge, Lindsay, but God is doing that in someone’s chin right now.  I think we ought to just give the Lord praise.

Show roll-in of ORU grad, Mark Stern

RR: And, Marilyn, it’s happening.  Since I talked with you maybe a week or two weeks ago, there has been something that has been happening every night on this program.  People have been calling.  People have been making pledges and testimonies like Alberta in Las Vegas, Nevada who called, we got this testimony today, and she made a pledge of $1,000 to help ORU get out of debt.  And she said, “I receive $800 a month.”  That’s what she receives.

The Graciousness of God by Lindsay Roberts

Lindsay Roberts No Comments »

LR: than any name named in heaven and earth. Hey, let’s take that one. Pick whatever it is that’s affecting you, offending you, holding you back, holding you down, and say, “In the name of Jesus, the name of Jesus is above me, so get thee behind me, Satan? And command Satan to take off.

RR: Why don’t you just lead someone who feels very, very low tonight? Why don’t you just lead someone in that prayer, like you were just saying right now, about using the name of Jesus? Just pray that prayer right now.

LR: You know, Jesus said, “If I be lifted up?

RR: Yes.

LR: “I will draw all men? You need a lifting up today. Well, Jesus said, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me.”  So we’re going to lift up the name of Jesus right now and draw you right up there with Him.

In the name of Jesus we speak to anything that’s devastating your life right now, and we pray for the lifting up power of almighty God to lift you up before the throne room of grace. And right now in the name of Jesus we just bring you before the Father God and say, “Father God, please pour out your healing virtue, your healing power, your mercy, your grace, your oneness and wholeness.

And we thank You, Father God, for healing infirmity, whatever it is right now. You be lifted up and be made whole. In Jesus” name, you have a Bible right to it in Jesus” name.  Amen, amen.

RR Gives a word of knowledge about someone with a crooked arm. The woman says she feels like a young woman, and she’s 72.

LR: Where does the Bible say that at 72 you have to give up and shut up and crawl up and die? It does not say that. The Bible says your youth shall be renewed like the eagles. Well, that can’t be for young people because they already have their youth. So who do you think it’s for? The ones who’ve gone on and gotten older in their age.

But you have a Bible right because, you see, it’s the older eagles that go off and they literally beat off the old feathers off their physical bodies. When their feathers leave, the new feathers come up, and they are literally renewed.

Think of God First by Lindsay Roberts

Lindsay Roberts No Comments »

You know, we pulled in on campus today, and I thought, “Oh, yeah, I remember. I remember.”  Why?  Because I love him. Because he loves me. And those words will be alive in me forever. So it’s not that it’s so hard. It’s just a matter of your heart. Everything with God is a matter of the heart.

RR: Lindsay, I don’t know why we’re so surprised. Terri said it so beautifully, you can see Satan coming. You know what he’s going to do. He comes to steal, he comes to kill, and he comes to destroy.

LR: Correct.

RR: We see him coming.

LR: I anticipated when I got up this morning, knowing that there’s a women’s conference coming, I mean, it’s sort of like with the water you get the wet.  You know, if you’re going to jump into a swimming pool, you can anticipate water.  At least I hope so. And, you know, it like comes with the territory. And I knew that.

But when I was sitting on the ditch, all the revelation in the world didn’t make me feel one bit better that I was sitting in the ditch.  However, we need a word in season that will cause faith to rise up in me.  I didn’t have it in the ditch.  I didn’t have it in the barn.  I didn’t have it when my daughter was up against the barn.

However, from my 13 year old child, with her finger in my face, saying, “Mother, I will not give up,” I got a revelation. I think we all need a jumpstart message. Every morning, every night I have working on this diligently every night till practically two o’clock in the morning.  And he’s been right there beside me helping me, because it’s clicking inside me.  But that didn’t make it one bit easier. Even I going through this very message needed something to kick start me?

And I think women especially in the body of Christ want to talk, and we want to talk about lots of things. But we’ve got to focus our discussion on what’s relevant, what’s going to matter in eternity, what’s going to get us out of the ditch, for heaven’s sake, and get us back on the road, and it needs to be a word.

RR: Now what you’re talking about, Lindsay is focusing on life, instead of focusing on death. You know, you can focus on all the seemingly dead things around you, all the seemingly lifeless things around you.  That’s what I hear you saying.  That’s what I hear all of you saying.
