RR: Hallelujah!  And people are receiving that right now. You’re receiving that.  I just, when you said take it, I feel like just saying, it’s mine, it’s mine, it’s mine.

ER: That includes a minister in town who has leukemia, and the lymph nodes are getting larger and he’s on chemotherapy.  And I pray for you, Louis that God will heal you tonight while this program is on, and I believe He will in Jesus’ name.

LR: You know, I know you all didn’t know this.  I know you didn’t know this because I didn’t get a chance to talk to you before the program, but they were going to try and get Cheryl on the telephone so you could pray for her over the air, because they want to start radiation tomorrow and chemotherapy.  She’s already had a mastectomy.  She’s already had bone marrow transplant, and she said, “The pain is so bad.  They want to start the radiation again.”

This whole group right here that I call my party friends, they’re from Cancer Treatment Center, and they all come over, they all know Cheryl.  And they all come over and watch this program

OR: Have them stand up.  Have them stand up.

LR: expecting their all you stand up, he said.

OR: All the cancer patients stand up.  Stand up.

RR: That’s why the Lord is revealing this to you tonight because here’s so many of them that are here.

LR: These are my party friends.  We came to have a healing party tonight.

OR: All right.  In the name of the Son of God, I hold the Word of God in my hand, the spoken and written Word of God.  I reach out the Word of God to you in the name of the Son of God.  And I speak the Word against that outlaw.  That outlaw has invaded your good cells.  That outlaw is trying to destroy those healthy cells. That’s an outlaw.  And Jesus said, “The devil comes only to steal, to kill, and destroy.”

Now I’m coming against that outlaw with my son and daughter-in-law and my wife and others here, and I’m coming in the name of Christ.  You outlaw cancer, you wither and die.  You wither and die.  And life abundant, you come into their bodies.  Life from Jesus, you fill them up. Fill them up and destroy those outlaw cells.

And I speak to the good cells, that you stretch out your wings and you suck in the power of God until every one of you is greater than the outlaw, and your body is filled with just good cells.  Through Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I declare it in His name.

RR: Not only in those of you who are here with us tonight, but those of you that are watching by television, the power of God, there’s no distance in that power.  There’s no distance in prayer.  You can receive that tonight right where you are.  And we’re including you in that prayer in Jesus’ name.  We’re including you.

RR: We have two very special guests tonight, the founders of this ministry and Oral Roberts University, Oral and Evelyn Roberts, my parents, are guests on our program tonight.  Hallelujah!  Be on in a few minute’s time.

LR: We’re ready for a party.

RR: Lynwood, what do you have?

LW: We have a party animal down in Ocala, Florida, who already received his healing.  He’s 74 years young.  He is a writer of Christian literature.  Now Jonathan had arthritis and was very severe for 17 years, and it hurt him to bend his knees.  But when  you gave a word of knowledge about arthritis, Jonathan bent down on his knees in front of his television, laid his hands on yours to receive his healing.  Jonathan is on the phone right now.

RR: Hello, Jonathan.

J: Hi, Richard.

RR: How are you tonight?

J: Rather emotional.

RR: Rather emotional.  What happened, Jonathan?  Tell me what happened when you got on your knees.

J: Well, I live in Ocala, and you had mentioned a production manager of one of the stations here in Ocala.

RR: Yes, I did.

J: They found this town, you know, you had mentioned the healing. And I was sitting in my recliner, which is about seven feet away from the TV.  It’s on the floor.  It’s on a pedestal.  So when you said, “Reach your hands out,” I had to get on my knees to do it because I had to bend down.  It was either hurt my back or hurt my knees.  And I’m used to the pain.  But I did.  And I put my hands over yours.  And I’m saying, “Hurry up, Richard.  Bind that thing any way.”

What happened is, you did, and you said to me, “Get up and walk.”  I got up, and the first time I got up without grabbing something and pulling myself erect.  And I didn’t want to walk, I wanted to run.  And I’m limited by the space between the front door and my big hall, but I kept doing, you know, knee bends, exercise, boom, and no pain.

RR: No pain?

J: No sir.

RR:  And it’s been 17 years?

J: I retired from federal law enforcement 17 years ago because I couldn’t negotiate steps.  I’m not in a walker.  I’m not in braces or anything, but that pain has been with me all this time.

RR: How do you feel now, Jonathan?

JAMES: Oh, I’m excellent.

RR: James, what happened last night when I gave that word of knowledge?

JAMES: Oh, about eight years ago I had some back problems, and the doctors had told me that a couple of my discs were out in my back and as a result of it was pinching some nerves which numbed my whole left leg.

RR: Now you got the injury to your back about eight years ago.

JAMES: Yeah.  And, see, about a month ago I was doing some steel work and I hurt my back even worse.  So the doctors told me I was looking at surgery on my back.

RR: What did you feel last night when we prayed?

JAMES: I felt this heat just going through my whole back and through my whole leg.

RR: Your back and your leg?

JAMES: Do what?

RR: Your back and your leg?

JAMES: Yeah.  And when you gave the word of healing, my pain and everything just vanished.

LR: Glory to God.

RR: Gone?

JAMES: Yes, completely gone.  When I

RR: What difference can you tell, James?

JAMES: Well, I went to work today, and I was bouncing around just like a jack rabbit.

LR: Hallelujah!

RR: Oh, that’s wonderful, James.  Thank you for calling.  Thank you for calling.  Lindsay.

LR: Eight years, isn’t that exciting?  Well, I tell you, if you’re back hurt for eight years, you would be bouncing around like a jack rabbit.  Praise God for that.

RR: Here’s Annie calling from Flint, Michigan.  “Two weeks ago I was watching your program.  You gave a word of knowledge about someone’s left arm that they couldn’t move.  For six months I’ve not been able to move my left arm even above my waist.  I lost 85% of the motion and the feeling.  Then you said to put my hands on your hands.  I did.  I began to move my arm and I felt heat go down my back and through my shoulder, and now my left arm, I can move it now.  My left arm is healed.”  Glory to God.

LR: Hallelujah!

RR: Glory to God.  Lindsay, Lindsay, I tell you, people are receiving the miracle touch of Jesus.

LR: Yeah, isn’t that exciting?  Debbie called giving praise for healing tonight.  Her back, I guess you were exactly right about the backs being healed.  Praise God for that.

RR: I’ve got more backs healing tonight than I can hardly read.

RR: Is she on the phone? Laura? Hello, Laura.

LAURA: Hi. How are you?

RR: I’m just fine. You’re right here in the Tulsa area in Broken Arrow, aren’t you?

LAURA: Yes, I am.

RR: Well, you’ve always wanted to say something to Oral Roberts, Laura, about your aunt and your uncle. Now here’s your opportunity, Laura.

LAURA: Well, thank you. God bless you, Oral Roberts, and the wonderful ministry that you have.

OR: Well, thank you very much.  I know that Jesus Christ heals alcoholism just as easily as He heals a headache and that He heals cancer just as easily as He heals a headache.  My middle my younger sister, she’s older than I Jewel who brought me the healing message, “Oral, God is going to heal you of tuberculosis,” called me one day and the doctors had pronounced her with cancer. And after he had done that, why, she called me.  And when I walked in the little house, she threw her arms around me and she said, “Oral, I have cancer.”  My sister had a history of headaches, but every time she would have a headache, God would heal her.  And she would look forward to the healing when the headache struck.

And the Lord gave me a key to her.  I said, “Jewel, the Lord can heal this cancer as easily as He can heal the headache.” And a light went off in her mind that the cancer was no more to God than the headache.  And we prayed.  And I said, “You go back to the same doctor who pronounced you with that cancer.” She did.  She called me back.  She said, “Oral, it is gone.” Then she said, “It’s as easy for God to heal cancer as it is to heal a headache.”

RR: There are those who are watching right now who have been given a bad report.  They’ve got cancer in their body.  There are those who are watching tonight who are suffering with alcoholism or some kind of drug addiction and they want somebody to pray for them.  I wish you’d just stretch out your hands and pray for them right now.

OR: I will.  There are three or four things that have been going through my being that people are suffering that I must deal with right now

RR: Certainly.

OR: that I must deal with right now if it’s all right, Richard. Somebody has just hurt your wrist, and I mean injured it severely, and you’re doubling over with pain.  The power of God is going through that wrist right now.  Just start moving it, and know in your spirit that the Lord’s power is coming down upon you. Somebody who doesn’t have just a ringing in your ear but a buzzing the ringing has turned into a buzzing.  It began when you were a little child, rather small, but now you are in your fifties.  I can almost see you.  It’s almost like you have on a dark dress, and you’re wearing glasses.  And you have this buzzing, buzzing, till it’s driving you like to insanity.

Jesus stood up and there in that ship He rebuked the winds and rebuked the waves and He hushed the sea to sleep.  And those disciples looked at Him and said, “What matter, what matter of man, what manner of man is this?”  Jesus turned and said to them, “Where is your faith?” And that’s the question that Jesus is asking you and me today, when are you and I going to stand tall and use the faith that God has given us to go over and not under.  While the devil’s roar is going in your life, God is saying to you, let us go over, let us not go under.  And the ORU Orchestra and I want to bring this song to life of going over, “Let Us Go Over To The Other Side.” Hallelujah.  SONG Let us go over to the other side I’m going over to the other side.  Stay tuned for this message coming up just for you. Just as a point of contact.  A point of contact is something you do, Arlie, and when you do it, you release your faith.  And as I reach out my hands to you as a point of contact, I also stretch out the prayer of faith.  And I come against the struggle in your life.  I pray for you today.  For those of you who have never received Jesus as your Savior, I pray right now that you’d pray this prayer out loud with me,  PRRR as everybody here prays this prayer out loud with me.

O Lord, be merciful to me a sinner.  Come into my heart.  Save me.  Forgive me.  I repent of my sins.  I turn my back on the devil.  And I receive Jesus Christ.  Friend, I pray for you to be healed in your body.  I speak to the sickness and the disease.  I command it, in the name of Jesus, to come out of your body.  And I agree with you for that thing to happen.  And I won’t change my mind.  I won’t come out of agreement with you until the healing comes.  I pray for God to multiply the seed that you sow.  Yes, those of you who are sowing seeds into this ministry this month and every month, I thank you for it.

But more than that, I pray for God to multiply it back to you in the way you need it the most.  I particularly want to pray for those of you who are on alcohol or on drugs today.  In the name of Jesus, you need deliverance.  And I pray for you to be healed today.  I want to remind you, we have the Set-Free Clinic over at the City of Faith.  It’s a drug and alcohol abuse center. SPLR LINDSAY ROBERTS We didn’t even get to the hard part.  Cheryl  kept saying, “This is the easy part, this is the warmup.”  I said, “I’ve got to stop, I’ve got to stop.”

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS Cashier’s checks….that’s what I was meaning.  This is for a special project in our anniversary month, our 40th anniversary celebration which begins…. or which began, I should say, the first of this month.  This is really something special and there isa project that goes along with this and that is restoration work at ORU this summer while the students are all over America and around the world preaching, singing, witnessing, and in businesses, on jobs, doing all kinds of things with missions teams all around the world.  We have to do some special restoration work here at ORU and we need to do that kind of restoration work during the summer when the students are gone. We’ve already begun to order the equipment and the materials and things like that.  Now I need to pay for that stuff. Now all of this, of course, needs to come in above and beyond our regular needs of operating ORU, the City of Faith, and everything. We also have ongoing needs at the university during the summertime too and, of course, one of the ongoing needs is to do some restoration work on the roofs, some parking lots, and classrooms, and things of that nature.  And we are still…. you have to keep things up.  You have to maintain things.

SPLR LINDSAY ROBERTS Last year we did the dormitories.

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS Last year we redid the dormitories and now we’re doing some exterior work.  Have we got…. I haven’t heard from anybody…  did we get some paint last week?  When I left for Korea, we needed 1,500 gallons of white paint and off-white paint and I haven’t had any report.  Can anybody tell me?  Did we get any paint?  Can anybody give me some word?  I don’t know.  I just got home from Korea this weekend and I don’t know.

SPLR LINDSAY ROBERTS Your body is here but half of you was left there.

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS Well, I’ll tell you what Richard, we ordered paint last week.

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS And speaking of welcomes.  I want you to help me to welcome two very special people to our television program, friends of this ministry, friends of our family — James and Betty Robinson.  (APPLAUSE)  James, God bless you.  Betty, so glad you could come with James and be with us.  (APPLAUSE) James.  I have something that I want to talk to you about.  But I want to follow up on this letter that I received from this Vietnam veteran.  Because there are many servicemen who feel because of what they had to do in wars, such as the Vietnam War, and especially in a war that received much criticism.  Now let’s just be honest about it.  It received a lot of criticism, although the newspapers painted it in ways in which it was not — and the newspapers are famous for that, as you well know.  But I wanted to know your response.  Have you had to deal with this kind of thing in your own ministry?  And how would you respond to a man or a woman who has had to do something in a war and it’s been eating them up on the inside.

SPKM JAMES ROBINSON Richard, I think you handled it beautifully. I think what you said is perfectly appropriate.  I also would like to add to it just simply the thought from the New Testament, because you did refer to the Old Testament illustration of how God did use David to destroy the enemies of God who were in fact out to destroy the innocent ones.  And whether we realize it or not, Jesus Christ actually came and gave his own life in behalf of those who are innocent through Christ and through his redemptive plan — but he also delivered a death blow to the kingdom of darkness.  And which ultimately will be the total elimination of all the powers of the enemy and the enemy himself. So Jesus came and gave his life for us.  There was combat there. It was mortal as far as he was concerned.  Because it cost him his life.

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS That’s right.

SPKM JAMES ROBISON  SU01 But in the 13th chapter of Romans we find a very definite reference to the authorities and to the rulers.  And I would like to just share that.  First of all, there is the exhortation from the Lord to be in subjection to the governing authority except that which is established by God. Therefore, if you resist authority, and you are opposing the ordinance of God, and those who do oppose will receive condemnation in themselves, for rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil.  Do you want to have no fear of authority?  Do what is good, and you will have the praise of authority.  For it is a minister of God to you for good.  But if you do what is evil, be afraid, for the authority, the ruling power does not bear the sword for nothing.  It is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath upon the one who practices evil. And that is precisely what these individuals were doing as subjects of the ruling authorities.  They were instruments of death to those who were in opposition to the right or to good. And so they were actually serving the country.  I do not feel there is any reason for them to have any sort of a feeling of guilt.  Of course they have hurt in their heart that the war ever took place in the first place.  We are always sorry when wars come.  But they do come.  And when we serve our country that is a noble thing, and it’s not something to be in any kind of a guilt trip over.  And we just pray for God to give total healing and restoration in the mind and memories to anyone who did serve the country.

SPKM JEFF MCKISSICK  SU02 Basically what we do is we are getting rid of a negative stereotype about the martial arts.  Just as John Jacobs and his Power Team were here the other day, and they were talking about a common ground.  That is what we are seeking to establish.  There are a lot of people in the martial arts, and there are a lot of people are interested in being in the martial arts, but a negative stereotype keeps them from it.  They think that in order to be in martial arts you must bow to certain idols.  Well, we bow before and after our class to the only bow of submission in our club here at ORU, is a bow to the Lord God Almighty. (APPLAUSE)

SPKM LARRY LEA And that’s the commitment of all of us here at ORU…and what is your name again?

SPKM JEFF MCKISSICK My name is Jeff McKissick.

SPKM LARRY LEA And Jeff, what do you do there?

SPKM JEFF MCKISSICK I am one of the head instructors.

SPKM LARRY LEA In other words you could hurt me right now, is that what you are telling me?

SPKM JEFF MCKISSICK But I wouldn’t…

SPKM LARRY LEA Oh, no, you wouldn’t every do that.  And what’s your name?

SPKM DAVID SHAY David Shay.

SPKM LARRY LEA Hi, David, and what part do you play?

SPKM DAVID SHAY I’m one of the officers of the club, I’m the secretary.

SPKM LARRY LEA You’re the secretary.  Let me ask you — I understand you have a presentation today.  What is that, please? 

SPKM JEFF MCKISSICK The club is a part of Oral Roberts University and a part of this ministry.  As a part of this ministry we are in support of everything that this ministry stands for, which is the healing team concepts. And we are here today to present the first of what will be a series of checks from that club.  Every month they have to give dues as a part of being a member of that club.  And these dues, now and in the future, will go toward the healing team ministry of Oral Roberts University.  (APPLAUSE)

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS Hallelujah.

SPKM LARRY LEA Jeff, Thank you so much for that.  This is a check for $100.  And I want to just say thank you to you, Jeff, for you commitment to the Lord.  And the fact that we are a unified force for the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ right here at ORU. Richard, it’s a joy.

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS Larry, while you are standing there — there are other groups around campus that are doing things like this. And sowing seeds.  Yesterday we received a check from a group of students who have been collecting aluminum cans and newspapers and turning them in.  They set a goal — they wanted to sow a seed of $10,000 in the medical missions.  And yesterday they gave the first seed of $2,000 to help equip and staff our first medical mission station.  And I’ll tell you, things are moving here at ORU, and especially since we made that great announcement several days  ago on the program.  (APPLAUSE)

SPKM LARRY LEA Well, that is exactly right.  And while there is a tremendous turmoil that has…and gone about — this tremendous controversy about medical missions, we are united here at ORU. And because of that there is a commanded blessing coming on us, and also all of those, our partners, that are standing with us. So we give God praise today.  And it is a joy to see the Spirit of God moving.  (APPLAUSE)

SPRR RICHARD ROBERTS Larry, I know that in just a moment you have to depart, because you are going to be preaching in one of our chapel services for your graduate school of theology.  But before you go give us a good word of testimony about the Signs and Wonders Seminary, and about upcoming fall and enrollment in the Signs and Wonders Seminary here at ORU.

SPKM LARRY LEA Well, we are so thankful, Richard, for what the Holy Spirit is doing here at ORU.  The Lord just is doing something unique in the sphere of theological education.  As you know, Richard, we have — last Tuesday night — have a class called Signs and Wonders where we are bringing people into this campus that are actually doing the work of the ministry.  There is a great difference between learning about God and learning about ministry.  And learning how to practically apply it.  That is the very reason I am here, because I am the pastor.  Also, the Church On The Rock in Rockwall, Texas.  And we are doing ministry there.  And here at ORU we are equipping young men and young women to actually learn about ministry, but also learn to do the work of the ministry.  And for that I just want to say to anyone who is listening today who has a desire to study the word of God, has a desire to go into the depth of the word of God, and then learn how to do the work of the ministry.  We here are equippers and we will help you, and believe God to do great things in and through your life.  And so we are going to be having a great enrollment campaign that is going to begin.  And if you have a desire, you can write me, Larry Lea, Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and just tell me, “I need,” — or you know someone, maybe your pastor or others.  we have four new masters programs in our seminary.  A masters in counseling.  A masters of music.  We have a masters of Biblical arts.  And we are believing God is going to do a marvelous, marvelous thing through our seminary. So Richard, we are thankful for what is happening.  And I am believing God for 500 students in our seminary.  (APPLAUSE)
